Privacy Policy
Effective: TBD
Murder on the Euskaphos is a party murder-mystery game played on your phone. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and the choices you have.
What we collect
- Account details (hosts only): your name, email address, and a securely hashed password. We never store your password in plain text.
- Game data: the games you create or join, character assignments, votes, in-game messages, and final scores.
- Invitee emails: if a host invites players by email, those addresses are stored so the players can be sent their join links.
- Session cookie: a single signed cookie keeps you logged in. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.
How we use it
We use your data only to run the game: to authenticate hosts, deliver join links, run each round, and compute scores. We also keep anonymized, non-identifying gameplay statistics (which contain no name, email, or game identifier) to understand and improve game balance.
Sharing
We do not sell your data. We share it only with the infrastructure providers needed to run the service (for example, our database host and, where enabled, our email delivery provider), and only as required to operate the game.
Your rights
You can export everything we hold about your account at any time, and you can permanently delete your account and the games you host, from your account page. Deletion is immediate and irreversible.
Retention
We keep your data for as long as your account exists. When you delete your account, your personal data is removed and any games you hosted are deleted; data identifying you in games hosted by others is anonymized.
